Pc Games Early Access Indie Game Role Playing Game StrategyStudio Imugi, a Canadian startup founded by former Kitfox Games and Sabotage employees, is working on its debut game, Bonaparte: A Mechanized Revolution. This turn-based strategy game reimagines the French Revolution with a blend of historical and futuristic elements, including Sans-culottes and massive robot warriors. The game is set to release in 2025, but a playable demo is currently available during the Steam Next Fest.
Players can choose to be Céline or César Bonaparte, leading a faction in a monarchy on the brink of collapse, and guiding their clan from a disjointed group of idealists to a powerful or radical government, or even a ruthless new kingdom. The game's political strategies and alliances play a significant role in shaping the outcome of the Revolution and the world.
Bonaparte features historical characters and factions in a believable political theater filled with tensions and conflicts that unfold differently each time. The game combines gunpowder warfare with giant mechas, known as Colossi, in epic turn-based battles where cunning and daring are rewarded over brute force.
The unique strategic approach of Bonaparte ties political upheavals to battlefield consequences, adding another layer of depth to the gameplay. Players can join the Studio Imugi Discord, follow them on X and Facebook, or visit the official website for more information.
