RedBoon, an independent game developer and publisher, has announced the release of a new Custom Mode for its popular RPG, Knock on the Coffin Lid. The new mode offers players more control over their gameplay and increased creativity, allowing them to customize their starting deck, choose starting equipment, and use modifiers that can have both positive and negative impacts on their run.

Knock on the Coffin Lid is a fantasy-mystery whodunnit deckbuilder that has sold over 100,000 copies since its release, including the Nightmares of Millenis DLC. The game takes players on a journey to investigate their own untimely demise and determine the fate of the land of Midian.

Custom Mode features a randomly generated map for each run, giving players a fresh battlefield to conquer. Players can also craft their fate by selecting their starting deck from all available cards for their chosen character and arming themselves with powerful relics. The mode also includes the option to use Tarot Cards for those who own the Nightmares of Millenis DLC.

All experience gained in Custom Mode will carry over to characters in Story Mode, allowing players to grind XP and unlock new classes. The game features over 200 unique items, each with their own abilities and blessings, and offers a challenging and ever-evolving battlefield for players to master.
