"Wednesdays," a real-life game combining storytelling and management, is now available on PC and Mac via Steam and itch.io. Developed by ARTE, The Pixel Hunt, and Pierre Corbinais, "Wednesdays" aims to raise awareness about sexual violence within the family and encourage victims to speak out. The game features a fragmented, choral narrative where players take on the role of the victim's family and friends, delving into fragmented memories and unraveling memories. The game contains no scenes of sexual assault and includes content warnings for each memory.

The game features two graphic styles: memories come to life through comics drawn by Exaheva, while the theme park, the gateway to Tim's memories, is designed by Nico Nowak. "Wednesdays" is a game that has given many of its developers the opportunity to make their voices heard, not only as video game artists and creators but also as victims for some of them. The game is not recommended for players under 18 and is available for 9,99 € / $9,99.

"Wednesdays" is designed to be accessible, requiring no special skills or knowledge of video games. Customizable accessibility settings allow all types of players. The game features handmade visuals and an indie-comics-inspired style, leading players to question the consequences of domestic sexual violence and sexual abuse in an authentic, enlightening story. The player manages his theme park to unlock more than 17 memories in colorful pixel-art sequences.

ARTE, a European public cultural media, has been co-producing and publishing independent video games for more than ten years. The Pixel Hunt is a studio that designs and produces reality-inspired games, while Pierre Corbinais is an author and former journalist known for his work on numerous video games. Exaheva is a comic book artist, and Nico Nowak is a talented pixel-artist.
