Auroch Digital and Big Fan, a Devolver Digital publishing label, have announced that they are working on Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun 2, the sequel to the popular retro FPS game. The new game is scheduled for release in 2026 and will feature legendary Space Marine Malum Caedo as he battles enemies in never-before-seen locations in the Warhammer 40,000 Universe.

Players can look forward to an adrenaline-pumping shootout inspired by the best retro first-person shooters of the '90s, with an arsenal of formidable weapons and even deadlier abilities. The game will feature fan-favorite foes like the sassy Nurglings and Chaos Cultists, as well as new enemies such as the ferocious Bloodletters and their blood-thirsty Juggernauts.

In addition to the sequel, Auroch Digital has also launched Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun – Words of Vengeance, a free-to-play twist on Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun. In this game, players can put their typing skills to the test by quickly typing out randomized words and phrases from Warhammer 40,000 lore to end the lives of their foes.

Auroch Digital is a remote-first studio based in Bristol, made up of 100~ developers from across the country. The studio is known for making its own IP games, working with trusted and licensed partners, publishing console ports, and co-development work-for-hire projects. Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun 2 will be available on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S in 2026. For more information about Auroch Digital, visit their website at [www.aurochdigital.com](http://www.aurochdigital.com).
