Nullpointer Games has announced the release of its new game, The Horror at Highrook, a tabletop-inspired, occult card-crafting narrative RPG. The game is now available digitally for PC via Steam, priced at £15.49 / $19.99 / €18.49. A 10% discount is available for those who purchase the game during the first two weeks of launch. The game is also participating in the LudoNarraCon festival.

The Horror at Highrook is set in the haunted estate grounds of Highrook Manor, where players lead a team of occult investigators to uncover the fate of the missing Ackeron family. The game features a deep and nonlinear crafting system, with players combining characters, items, and locations to craft tools, potions, and occult rites. The game offers eight chapters of cosmic horror, with each chapter presenting new challenges, events, and characters.

Players must track the lost family, complete challenges to access new areas, items, and characters, and build an arsenal of relics and rites to summon and banish ancient horrors. The game features an extensive library of notes and letters, revealing the dark history of Highrook, inspired by HP Lovecraft, Edgar Allen Poe, and Bram Stoker.

The Horror at Highrook is now available to purchase for PC via Steam, where a demo is also available to download. The game is developed by Nullpointer Games, a tiny indie studio based in the UK, run by Tom Betts, who has previously worked on games such as Sir, You Are Being Hunted, The Signal from Tolva, and Into the Pit.
