Indie Game Pc Games Role Playing Game Early Access

Black Voyage Games, an international indie game studio, has announced the availability of a demo for their roguelike low-fantasy tactical RPG, Lost In The Open, at Steam Next Fest from June 10th to 17th, 2024. The game takes players on a journey through a dark and unforgiving world after an assassination plot leaves them wounded and on the run.

Lost In The Open features node-based exploration and brutal tactical RPG combat, with a roguelike randomized world, progression, and encounters. Players must recruit loyal allies, engage in strategic combat, and manage the King, their most powerful asset and greatest liability. The game's complex and mature narrative is tightly integrated with gameplay, and its Parchment and Quill artstyle is inspired by authentic medieval artwork with a modern flair.

Black Voyage Games is committed to creating atmospheric, gritty, and immersive games with depth and story, and Lost In The Open is their first title, set to launch on Steam in 2024. The game can be described as Battle Brothers meets FTL: Faster Than Light, with art style inspiration from real medieval art. Players can add Lost In The Open to their Steam wishlist and join the game's Discord server for updates and announcements.

The demo allows players to experience the game's strategic combat and brutal RPG elements, with the final boss available to defeat. Black Voyage Games encourages players to share their victories by taking screenshots. The studio is against predatory monetization strategies and aims to create games that evoke thought and emotion, exposing players to tough decisions and overwhelming odds.
