On May 30, 2024, Swedish publisher Raw Fury and Norwegian developer High North Studios released the retro-style RPG, SKALD: Against the Black Priory, on PC via Steam and GOG for $14.99/£12.79/€14.99. A 10% launch discount is currently available.

Set in a grim-dark fantasy world, SKALD: Against the Black Priory features a storyline with turn-based combat and character customization. The game offers modern inventory and quest log systems, hand-drawn visuals inspired by the Commodore 64 computer, and a range of character classes, backgrounds, and spells. Players can recruit pre-made characters or build their own, deciding on their skills, stats, and equipment.

The game takes place in Freymark and the Outer Isles, where players uncover the schemes of the Gallian Empire. SKALD: Against the Black Priory offers a Deluxe Edition, which includes the original soundtrack, new portraits, wallpapers, a vendor, and a golden die for $22.47/£17.68/€14.99.
