Jagex, the company behind the popular online game RuneScape, has announced the release of the first novel in a series set in the game's universe. RuneScape: The Gift of Guthix, written by Erin M. Evans, is now available at retailers worldwide. The novel is set in the world of Gielinor and tells the story of the origin of magic, the plight of civil war, and the defeat of the Fremennik Great Invasion.

The second book in the series, RuneScape: The Fall of Hallowvale, is set to be released on November 5th, 2024. The story is set in the shining city of Hallowvale, where Queen Efaritay and the knightly warriors of Hallowvale face desperate choices as a new darkness threatens the city's fate.

RuneScape: The Gift of Guthix is published by Titan Books in partnership with Jagex and is sure to delight players of both RuneScape and Old School RuneScape. The novel is available for £9.99 GBP / $16.95 USD. RuneScape: The Fall of Hallowvale is also available to pre-order ahead of its release this November.

Erin M. Evans is an experienced author, having written seven Forgotten Realms novels for Wizards of the Coast, including the 2011 Scribe Award winner Brimstone Angels. She is also a content designer for Idle Champions of the Forgotten Realms and a cast member of the D&D actual play Dungeon Scrawlers.
