Friedemann, the independent developer behind games like Summerhouse and Islanders, and publisher Future Friends Games have announced their latest project, a slot machine roguelike adventure called SLOTS & DAGGERS. The game is set to release on PC later this year.

In SLOTS & DAGGERS, battles are fought on a slot machine, and players must use quick reflexes and a keen eye to turn the odds in their favor. The game features a retro-fantasy world filled with goblins, moths, and gunslingers, and players can upgrade their arsenal as they progress through the game.

The slot machine mechanics determine the actions available to players during combat, with attacks, potions, and spells represented by symbols on the wheel. Players will need to rely on luck and strategy to defeat an eccentric cast of enemies, including Gunslingers of the Red Desert, Knights of Kul, Hammer Goblins, and a character named Ike. Victory earns players powerful modifiers, such as extra wheels, new weapons, spells, and more.

SLOTS & DAGGERS features ten levels, each with unique foes and bosses. Players can unlock new weapons, equipment, and abilities as they progress through the game, and they can adapt their loadout and strategy on the fly during each run.

Friedemann is an independent game developer based in Berlin who has previously worked on games like Superflight, ISLANDERS, and Pizza Possum. He released his first solo project, SUMMERHOUSE, last year with publishing help from Future Friends Games. SLOTS & DAGGERS is their latest collaboration.
