Peglin Launches May 1st: A Roguelike Pachinko Adventure on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Series X

BlitWorks Games has announced the release of Peglin, a roguelike pachinko deck-builder game by Red Nexus Games, for PlayStation 4 and 5, and Xbox One and Series. The game, which was initially released on Steam and Nintendo Switch in August 2024, follows the story of the peaceful village of the Peglins, which has been ravaged by an evil dragon.

In Peglin, players must navigate through various challenges and reclaim the home of the little ones by bouncing orbs across the screen to defeat enemies and bosses. The game offers a mix between pachinko and roguelike, with a deck-builder feature that allows players to gather their deck and enjoy endless replayability. With a wide array of levels, orbs, enemies, relics, encounters, and characters to unlock, each run is different.

Peglin also features turn-based combat, where players must fight in turns against waves of enemies, decide who to attack first with some special orbs, upgrade their pebbles, and prepare to face the final boss of each stage. The game has received several updates since its release, adding new bosses, enemies, battles, relics, and orbs, and improving balancing.

Red Nexus Games, the Canadian indie studio that developed Peglin, focuses on creating delightful indie games that they would like to play. BlitWorks Games, the publisher based in Spain, has extensive experience in porting and publishing PC premium games on consoles.

Peglin launches on PlayStation and Xbox for 19.99 USD / 19.99 Euros, with an embargo ending on April 26th. The game has received positive reviews from critics, with Touch Arcade giving it a 4.5/5 and GeekTyrant rating it 9/10.
