Velan Studios has announced its latest game, Midnight Murder Club, a first-person shooter party game that combines elements of hide and seek and shoot in the dark. The game is set in an old Victorian mansion and players must navigate through the dark hallways using only a flashlight and revolver to complete their mission and survive. However, they must also be wary of other club members who might be hiding in the shadows and willing to kill to be the last ones standing.

Midnight Murder Club features four modes of play, including Deathmatch, Free for All, Hunter/Hunted, and Thief in the Night. Each mode presents its own unique challenges and objectives, such as racking up the most kills or surviving the night while navigating through complete darkness. The game is set to launch on PC via Steam in Fall 2024, and players can now wishlist it on Steam.

According to Eric Feurstein, Game Director at Velan Studios, the idea for Midnight Murder Club started as a simple game jam idea of a shooter in the dark. The unique gameplay mechanics, such as the use of light and sound, offer a riveting experience that keeps players' adrenaline pumping. Players will have to strain their ears to hear footsteps in the darkness, call out to the shadows, and dread the response, tapping into primal fears.

Velan Studios is an independent game development studio founded in 2016 by industry veterans Guha and Karthik Bala. The studio is based in Troy, NY, and has released three titles featuring revolutionary new gameplay experiences, including Knockout City, Mario Kart Live: Home Circuit, and Hot Wheels Rift Rally. Midnight Murder Club is the latest addition to the studio's portfolio, offering a unique and thrilling gameplay experience for players.
