Meet Slitterhead's New Characters and Combat System: Doni, Tri, Yin Yue, and More

Pc Games Role Playing Game Sony Playstation Microsoft Xbox Indie Game Action GameBokeh Game Studio, led by game developer Keiichiro Toyama, has unveiled new characters and gameplay details for its upcoming game, Slitterhead. The game is set to release on November 8 for PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and Windows PC. The new characters include Doni, an ordinary high school student; Tri, a housekeeper from abroad; and Yin Yue, one of the leaders of the "Echoes of Love Society."
The gameplay details revealed include new combat skills and abilities for the characters. Doni's Fatal Lance skill forms a spear of blood to pierce enemies, while his Revenge Guard skill allows him to unleash accumulated damage as a shockwave. Tri's Sentry Thorns skill creates a shrub-like object that attacks nearby enemies, and her Bloody Knuckles skill causes attacked enemies to bleed. Tri's Crimson Chains skill binds an enemy with chains of blood, reducing their movement speed.
Slitterhead also features a "Blood Jump" ability that allows players to launch quickly into the air and attack, as well as a "Blood Recovery" system that restores health from blood pools. Players can also revive fallen characters and retrieve severed arms to restore them. The game's combat system is designed to be strategic, with players needing to possess human bodies to fight against the Slitterheads.
The "Echoes of Love Society" stage was also revealed, which serves as the headquarters for the organization. Slitterhead is developed and published by Bokeh Game Studio and will be available digitally for $49.99. A physical PS5 Day 1 Edition will also be available in North America for $59.99, including bonus items such as a CD of original songs, an artbook, and a sticker sheet. The game has been rated M for "Mature" by the ESRB.
