Kwalee Partners with MilkBubblesGames for GladiEATers: A Turn-Based Battler with a Food-Based Twist

Kwalee, a leading UK games publisher, has partnered with independent developer MilkBubblesGames for the upcoming turn-based battler, GladiEATers, set to release in 2025 for PC via Steam. In GladiEATers, players cook up a team of food-based monsters to command in turn-based battles and become champion of the CALosseum. The game features single-player, roguelike, online VS, and ranked multiplayer modes.

In single-player mode, players participate in a series of duels with other combat chefs and their teams of GladiEATers in the CALosseum, unlocking new chefs and GladiEATers, and progressing the story with each attempt. As events among the competitors shake the foundations of the CALosseum, game mechanics shift in unexpected ways, and players may even find themselves exploring beyond the stadium's walls.

Every battle begins in the kitchen, where players cook against the clock to develop basic ingredients into powerful creatures. With each mini-game, players change their GladiEATers' form and boost its stats, but it's up to them to choose how to spend their time. The game features over 150 unique hand-animated abilities, and with each victory, players discover diverse recipes, unlock new chefs, and rise through the ranks of the competition.

GladiEATers also features an endless roguelike mode with various run modifiers and online VS and ranked multiplayer modes. The game is developed by MilkBubblesGames, an independent game studio working entirely remotely, with a team made up of creatives from around the world. Kwalee, the publisher, is a multi-award-winning games publisher and developer based in Leamington Spa, UK, and has published a growing catalogue of PC and console titles.
