Board game creator Brueh Games and video game developer YarnCat Games have successfully raised over $200,000 on Kickstarter for their video game adaptation of the popular strategy board game Keep the Heroes Out! The game, which has surpassed its funding goal by 20 times, offers a digital version of the tabletop experience, allowing players to enjoy the game's asymmetric, cooperative dungeon defense gameplay on their computers.

Keep the Heroes Out! is a game for 1-4 players where players take on the role of monsters protecting their treasures from invading "heroes." The goal is to survive two rounds of the Guild deck and protect the treasures in each room. The digital version of the game, developed by YarnCat Games, features the same art style and gameplay as the original, with the added benefits of fluid animation, a tutorial for new players, and the ability to play solo against the AI or remotely with friends.

The original board game version of Keep the Heroes Out! was released in 2022 and has since sold over 70,000 copies. It was a Golden Geek Best Cooperative Game Nominee at BoardGameGeek and is currently ranked as the 664th best board game of all time out of a database of roughly 156,000 titles.

The Kickstarter campaign for the digital version of Keep the Heroes Out! offers exclusive rewards, including securing the digital game for $15, and will end on Friday, December 13th at 2pm PST. For more information, visit the Steam store page, YarnCat Games website, or Brueh Games website. Follow YarnCat Games on Twitter for updates on the game's development.

Brueh Games is a brand of solo game developer Luís Brueh, a Brazilian Game designer and artist now living in Halifax, Canada. YarnCat Games is an independent game studio based in Halifax, Canada, currently working on the digital version of Keep the Heroes Out!
