Pc Games Indie GameIn May 2025, Motamot will release Hellkind, a narrative horror game set in the Galician village of Pedra Moura, Spain. The game is based on the local legend of A Santa Compaña, a ghostly procession that guides lost souls to their fate. Players will explore the eerie sanctuary of San Andrés de Teixido, where an ancient cult, A Irmandade da Compaña, is attempting to summon A Santa Compaña using a cursed relic called O Corazón da Sombra.
Hellkind features atmospheric dithered visuals, full Galician voiceover, and a chilling horror experience inspired by religious rituals and forbidden knowledge. The game emphasizes exploration and light puzzle-solving, with unseen horrors lurking just beyond the veil of reality. Players must navigate the sanctuary and uncover the cult's dark intentions before it's too late.
The game's technical requirements are modest, with a Windows 10 64Bit operating system, Intel Core i5-4590 / AMD Ryzen 5 2600 processor, 2 GB RAM, NVIDIA GTX 970 / AMD Radeon R9 390 graphics, and 450 MB of available space required. For Mac, players will need MacOS Catalina 10.15 or later, a 2GHz quad-core Intel Core i5 processor, 2 GB RAM, Intel Iris Plus Graphics or better, and 450 MB of available space.
Motamot is an independent game studio founded by Emir Arkman, who focuses on creating art-driven games that emphasize style and exploration. The studio's previous releases include The Note for Windows/Mac and No Time Left for iOS/Android. Hellkind represents Motamot's latest project, a top-down horror experience for Windows and Mac that immerses players in the rich folklore of Galicia, Spain.
