Frogwares, the developer of the Lovecraftian-inspired open-world detective thriller, The Sinking City, has announced the official remaster of the original game. The remaster is being built in Unreal Engine 5 and promises upgraded visuals, including a fully relit game, enhanced locations, 4K textures, improved reflections, photo mode, and support for DLSS, FSR, and TSR upscaling. The remaster will be available for free to all existing owners of The Sinking City on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S platforms.

Frogwares is currently running a Kickstarter campaign for The Sinking City 2, the sequel to the original game, which has already surpassed its initial funding goal of 100,000 EUR by 400%. The campaign has entered its final days, and Frogwares is looking to meet some of its remaining stretch goals.

In addition, Frogwares has launched an initiative that allows anyone to have their voice included in The Sinking City 2, along with their name in the credits. Participants can submit a voice recording of themselves saying "YES" in any way they choose, and 100 randomly selected entries will be picked to be featured in the game as part of a choir chanting praises to the Eldritch god of time, Yog-Sothoth.
