Exabyte Games, an indie studio consisting of two brothers and a group of friends, has announced that their successful mobile survival strategy base-builder, Final Outpost, will be coming to PC as Final Outpost: Definitive Edition. The game, which was first released on iOS in 2020 and later on Android, has found success with its blend of survival and base-building elements. The Definitive Edition will be a pay-up-front title, expanding on the original game with more content, difficulty modes, a checkpoint system, and no in-app purchases. It will be available in 16 languages and across 5 platforms: PC, Mac, Linux, Android, and iOS.

The announcement coincides with the release of Final Outpost 1.6 on mobile, which includes a UI redesign, a cutscene introducing lore, and a new menu for managing outpost defenses. Final Outpost is a survival strategy base-builder where players lead the last survivors of an apocalypse, managing resources, constructing buildings, and fortifying their town against hordes of zombies.

Exabyte Games, founded in 2020, is a close-knit indie studio that has evolved together and recognizes the potential of its own products. The team has worked on transforming Final Outpost from a hobby project to a professional title and is now hard at work on the Definitive Edition for PC, Mac, and Linux.
