Return from Core, a sandbox RPG developed by Tanxun Studio and published by 2P Games, is set to release its 1.0 version on July 18, 2025, after a successful Early Access period. The game, which draws inspiration from Core Keeper, takes place in an underground world that humanity was forced to retreat to after an unknown cataclysm. Players assume the role of a lone explorer on a mission to uncover ancient secrets and reach the surface once again, accompanied by mysterious and endearing monster girl companions.

The full release will introduce several new features, including the enigmatic Core level 8, filled with remnants of fallen megacities from the Great Disaster that drove mankind underground. The Companion System will also receive an upgrade, offering mood-based interactions and new expressive animations for the monster girls. Quality-of-life improvements, such as a new batch crafting system, will be implemented based on community feedback.

Return from Core will offer full Steam Workshop support, allowing players to download and install mods that alter gameplay and character appearances. Additionally, players can look forward to redesigned Pickaxe Base upgrades, providing powerful new effects that enhance the combat experience.

Tanxun Studio is an indie game development studio based in Shanghai, China, founded by individuals who left their previous companies to create games based on the principles of honesty and open communication. Return from Core is their first title. 2P Games, also based in China, is a publisher with a decade of professional experience in the Asian games industry, responsible for releasing successful indie games like Immortal Life, Sultan's Game, Dust to the End, Greedland, The Hungry Lamb, and Looper Tactics.

Return from Core (1.0) will be available for £14.29 // €16.49 on Steam, with a 30% launch discount, on July 18 at 04:00 AM CEST for £9.99 // €11.54. Players in the United States can purchase the game for $16.99 with a 30% launch discount on July 17 at 7:00 PM PST. Players can wishlist the game on Steam to receive a notification when it releases.
