Corsgames, the independent developer known for the viral sensation "Waffle Cone Willie," has announced its new game, "Fear Below Zero." This first-person survival horror game is set in an isolated Antarctic research station where players face a prehistoric predator that has awakened after 90 million years of frozen slumber. The game emphasizes pure survival horror without combat, relying on stealth, environmental awareness, and resource management for players to evade the creature.

"Fear Below Zero" features a dynamic threat system, with the creature using light and sound to track players, creating emergent gameplay where every decision has potentially fatal consequences. The game also includes a hypothermia system requiring constant temperature management and resource scavenging mechanics that force players to venture into dangerous areas to collect electronics and repair components.

The game is set in Erebus Station near Mount Erebus, where players must contend with both the prehistoric predator and Antarctica's harsh environment. The game utilizes environmental storytelling, revealing the dark truth behind the discovery through scattered notes, audio logs, and environmental clues.

"Fear Below Zero" is a significant evolution in scope and production value from Corsgames' previous work, maintaining the atmospheric horror approach that made the studio's previous work a viral sensation. The game will launch on PC via Steam in December 2025 for $15.99, with a Steam page now live for wishlisting.

Corsgames is a solo independent game developer based in Toronto, Canada, specializing in atmospheric horror experiences. The developer gained international recognition with the viral success of "Waffle Cone Willie" and has since expanded into larger-scale survival horror with "Fear Below Zero." The game features no combat mechanics, dynamic AI, hypothermia and resource management systems, environmental storytelling, and multiple interconnected Antarctic research facilities to explore.
