Empire of the Ants is an upcoming real-time strategy (RTS) game inspired by Bernard Werber's bestselling saga, set to launch on November 7, 2024, for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. The game features a 20-hour solo campaign, where players must protect their colony and make strategic decisions for survival. The game also offers online ranked multiplayer with cross-platform compatibility, allowing players on all consoles to compete together.

The game is developed by Tower Five, an indie studio from La Rochelle, using Unreal Engine 5 to deliver photo-realistic graphics and immersive gameplay. Players will explore vast environments, interact with local wildlife, and engage in strategic battles. The game features a progressive difficulty curve, catering to both newcomers and seasoned RTS players.

Microids, the game's publisher, is a French video game publisher founded in 1985, focusing on adventure games, racing games, retro gaming, and titles inspired by iconic titles. Bernard Werber is a renowned science fiction author, famous for his ant trilogy and other series like The Thanatonauts & The Explorers of Science. He has previously collaborated with Microids on an adaptation of The Ants in the early 2000s.
