KOEI TECMO has announced DYNASTY WARRIORS: ORIGINS, an upcoming action game developed by Omega Force, set to release on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Windows PC via Steam on January 17, 2025. The game introduces a new protagonist, a mysterious martial artist, to the 1 vs. 1,000 gameplay of the Warriors series, taking place during the dawn of the Three Kingdoms era.
Players will experience the story from the hero's perspective, making choices that impact the Three Kingdoms, while engaging in intense combat against powerful officers like Lu Bu. The protagonist can also be joined by allied officers, allowing for strategic variations in battle.
DYNASTY WARRIORS: ORIGINS aims to deliver the most intense combat in franchise history, staying true to the series' roots of large-scale battles and exhilarating 1 vs. 1,000 action. The game promises to offer a realistic battlefield experience, with the protagonist's Companion officer becoming temporarily playable under certain conditions.
