Pc Games Indie Game Role Playing Game Nintendo Switch Microsoft Xbox Early AccessDance of Cards, a tactical gambling RPG game, is set to release on Nintendo Switch and Xbox on January 23rd, 2025. The game, which was previously only available on PC, follows sixteen passengers aboard the transatlantic liner Magnific who are forced to participate in a deadly card game in order to avoid a cruel fate.
In Dance of Cards, players must navigate not only the poker table but also their relationships with other players, deciding who will be the first to meet their death. The game features a unique blend of poker and RPG elements, allowing players to build relationships, cheat, and bluff their way to survival.
The game also features a ship to explore, full of mysteries and unexpected findings, as well as additional "Death Gambles" for players who are feeling brave. The soundtrack is described as teeming with anxiety, but also encouraging to dance.
Pineapple Works, a Polish games publisher and porting studio, and Russian game developer GoodMorningMrFrog are behind the development of Dance of Cards. Pineapple Works is known for their work on games such as Landnama, Of Blades & Tails, Cassette Beasts, Death and Taxes, Legends of Amberland, and Inkulinati. GoodMorningMrFrog is dedicated to creating fun and unique games that will make players' hearts skip a beat.
