Pix'n Love, in partnership with SNK, is celebrating the 30th anniversary of The King of Fighters (KOF) series with a special release of 4 iconic games for PlayStation®4 and Nintendo Switch™. The King of Fighters '94 was the first title in the series, released on August 25, 1994, and marked a revolution in fighting games with its top-notch graphics, music, and elaborate mechanics. The series has since grown to include over 15 canonical games and a large fanbase around the world.
The special release includes The King of Fighters '98, '2002, XIII, and XIV in an official NEOGEO box with exclusive cover art. Each edition is limited to 330 copies and includes a physical game, artbook, CD soundtrack, and lithographs. A deluxe box set, limited to 50 copies, will also be available and includes a numbered certificate of authenticity.
Pix'n Love is a publishing house specializing in books on the culture and history of video games. They have published over a hundred books on the subject and have diversified to include video game publishing under the Pix'n Love Games label. The King of Fighters series is owned by SNK Corporation, and the special release is licensed and published by Pix'n Love Games. The games will be available for purchase in Spring 2025 on the Pix'n Love website.
