Virtual Sky Interactive has unveiled the first gameplay from Café New York 9/11, a narrative-driven adventure game set in a small café near Ground Zero on September 11, 2001. The game, created by Baqir Shah, the lead level designer of Life is Strange: Double Exposure, offers an intimate and emotional story about identity, community, and the ordinary lives upended in an instant. Players control Sameer, a Pakistani-American café owner, as they navigate a typical morning filled with various characters, each with their own concerns and stories.

Café New York 9/11 focuses on emotional storytelling, branching dialogue, and immersive design to capture the hours leading up to the attacks. The game features a rich cultural soundscape, combining ambient city sounds with Pakistani music. The game is currently in development for PC and Xbox and can be wishlisted on Steam.

Virtual Sky Interactive, led by Baqir Shah, is an independent game studio that creates authentic and emotionally resonant stories through games. The team has worked on popular titles such as Fortnite, Temple Run, and Life is Strange: Double Exposure. The studio aims to blend narrative depth with accessible design to create meaningful gaming experiences.
