Xsolla Unveils Fee-Saving Buy Button for Mobile Games Post-Court Ruling

Pc Games Indie GameXsolla, a prominent company in video game commerce, has introduced the Xsolla Buy Button for Mobile Games. This solution allows mobile developers to bypass traditional platform fees and keep a larger portion of their earnings. This launch follows a U.S. court ruling that prohibits Apple from obstructing external payment links or charging commissions on third-party U.S. storefronts.
The Xsolla Buy Button for Mobile Games is a direct payment link that can be embedded inside mobile games, leading to a browser-based checkout powered by Xsolla Web Shop and Xsolla Pay Station. This checkout supports the sale of virtual items, currencies, and bundles, providing a seamless player experience while avoiding up to 30% in platform fees.
Key benefits of the Xsolla Buy Button include zero platform commission, frictionless one-tap purchase flow, simplified tax and compliance, loyalty and player rewards, live ops sync, parental control and gift cards, and multi-channel commerce. Developers can now create external links within their video game experience on iOS mobile devices, offering players a secure, pre-authenticated, frictionless purchase experience.
Xsolla's Chief Strategy Officer, Chris Hewish, stated that the court decision is a turning point for mobile game developers in the US and around the world. The Buy Button is available through the Xsolla Web Shop, and developers can register through the Xsolla Publisher account and use the Instant Web Shop template to generate links in minutes without requiring custom coding.
This new offering from Xsolla empowers mobile game developers to control their monetization, build closer relationships with their players, and grow their business with long-term sustainability. The Buy Button for Mobile Games Integration Guide and the Mobile SDK Integration Guide are available on the Xsolla website.
