XSEED Games to Publish Movement-Focused 3D Platformer The Big Catch in 2025

XSEED Games, a publishing brand of Marvelous USA, Inc., announced during a recent live show that they will publish The Big Catch, a movement-focused 3D platformer game developed by Filet Group. The game was funded through Kickstarter in 2022 and is expected to be released in 2025 for Windows PC via Steam. A playable demo is currently available for download on Steam.

The Big Catch follows the story of Caster, an acrobatic fisherman, who is on a quest to uncover long-lost secrets and the untold history of his mysterious homeland. Alongside his kinsman and rival, Tackle, they search the vast deserts for ingredients for their employer, Chef Leurre, and the restaurant, The Big Catch. The game is inspired by the bold creativity of 3D platformers of the 5th and 6th console generations and features fluid, skill-based action with fast acrobatic platforming, obstacles, puzzles, and fishing.

XSEED Games is a publisher of video games on PC and consoles in North America, with a diverse portfolio of over 100 titles, including STORY OF SEASONS, Rune Factory, DAEMON X MACHINA, AKIBA’S TRIP, Corpse Party, Granblue Fantasy: Versus, Sakuna: Of Rice and Ruin, Potionomics, and Cuisineer. The company is known for its critically acclaimed localizations and commitment to fans, with a "indie spirit, player-first" approach for quality games. The Big Catch is not yet rated by the ESRB.
