The eagerly anticipated game, Worship, has released a Definitive Field Guide to Blood Sacrifice, providing a comprehensive look at the gameplay mechanics that players can expect when it launches on PC and consoles in 2023. Worship is a cult-crawler game that puts players in charge of leading a doomsday cult, with the ultimate goal of inspiring normies to become devoted followers and sacrifice themselves to unseen eldritch gods to bring about the end times.

The guide showcases four main gameplay mechanics: Rituals and Followers, Exploration and Combat, Basebuilding and Progression, and Tests of Faith. Players must convert followers, spread their influence, and gain power by making offerings, solving puzzles, and slaying enemies. Dynamic blood-sites can be drawn using blood, which can be used to instigate horrendous death upon heretics and complete orders from the gods to gain more power.

Directing followers is a significant responsibility, and players must use their time at their base strategically to make offerings, replenish health, and upgrade powers.
