Women in Games and Ukie Partner to Advance Gender Diversity in UK Games Industry

The partnership aims to support career development, improve industry practices for inclusive workplaces, provide networking, mentoring, and skills-building opportunities, and advocate for policies that support gender diversity, fair pay, and equal opportunities.
The two organizations will collaborate on joint initiatives and investigate the development of joint research and policy advocacy efforts to support women in the games industry. They share the goal of creating a fairer, more inclusive industry that is culturally rich and truly representative of the diverse talent within it.
Women in Games CEO, Dr Marie-Claire Isaaman, expressed her excitement about the partnership, stating that it reinforces their dedication to supporting women and girls as consumers and as they pursue careers in gaming. Ukie CEO, Nick Poole, added that the partnership strengthens their efforts to build a more inclusive industry where people from all backgrounds feel valued, supported, and able to succeed.
The partnership will support Ukie's Raise The Game initiative, which aims to break down barriers, support career progression, and ensure that women and girls can thrive in every part of the industry. Women in Games will take part in the #RaiseTheGame panel session on EDI during Ukie's Members Day, and Ukie will support the Women in Games Careers, Development & Networking Expo on March 12th as a sponsor.
Women in Games is a not-for-profit organization that operates at a global scale, focusing on transforming equity, diversity, and belonging in the games industry. Ukie is the trade body for the UK's games and interactive entertainment industry, representing developers, publishers, service companies, and esports organizations across the sector.
