White Wolf, the creator of the World of Darkness transmedia properties, has announced its rebranding from its previous name, Stockhold-based World of Darkness. White Wolf will now serve as the official licensing and publishing entity for its intellectual properties, including Vampire: The Masquerade, Werewolf: The Apocalypse, and Hunter: The Reckoning. This move comes as part of a new era for White Wolf, aiming to work more closely with partners to create interconnected stories and develop products for fans.

As part of the rebrand, White Wolf and Paradox Interactive will collaborate as co-publishers for Vampire: The Masquerade–Bloodlines 2, set to launch in October 2025. White Wolf will also bring tabletop role-playing game and IP development in-house, allowing the studio to expand its commitment to games and gameplay systems that complement its story worlds.

White Wolf will oversee products set in World of Darkness story worlds across various media, including video games, tabletop role-playing games, board games, streaming shows, and more. The company will have direct access to development resources and marketing support, ensuring that World of Darkness fans worldwide can experience the brand's compelling stories.

Marco Behrmann, World of Darkness Executive Vice President at Paradox Interactive, expressed his excitement about the rebrand, emphasizing the company's commitment to creating high-quality, mature, and contemporary experiences that resonate with fans. White Wolf is led by key members who have been instrumental in the brand's ongoing success.

Originally founded in 1991, White Wolf pioneered deep, narrative-driven, and mature role-playing games with the launch of Vampire: The Masquerade. The company is now entering a new era, maintaining its roots while looking forward to creating products that expand its rich universe.
