The game, now available on Steam for Windows PC, is a free-to-play experience inspired by the nostalgia of Nintendogs and Tamagotchi.
Weyrdlets allows players to adopt a virtual pet with unique behaviors and interact with them in a lifelike manner, including petting, grabbing, feeding, and playing both in-game and on the desktop. Players can customize their pets and their environments with various accessories and decorations, expressing their personal style and creativity.
The game also offers pet-centric productivity features, such as an integrated Pomodoro Timer and To-Do list, allowing players to enhance their focus and efficiency while their companion keeps them company. When idle, Weyrdlets accumulate coins, which can be used to purchase more delightful items within the game.
An in-game Mental Health Tracker is included to help players practice mindfulness and track their mood and mental health changes over time. Weyrdlets is designed to be both adorable and useful, providing a fun and engaging experience that blends work and play.
Weyrdworks, a Malaysian video game development studio, is known for its award-winning eccentric games and experimental interactive experiences. Founded by Shawn Beck and JT Yean, the studio's previous titles include Velocibox and Super SteamPuff, both of which have received critical acclaim.
Weyrdlets is now available for free on Windows PC via Steam, and players can stay updated by following Weyrdworks on Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, and Twitch, and joining the community on Discord.
