The 2D platform fighter game, Warring Winds, developed by Inner Eye Games, has successfully secured its Kickstarter funding goal of $20,000 within the first hour of its launch. The game, which offers a single-player story mode with voice acting, local and online multiplayer modes, and rollback netcode, is set in an alternate history in the Pacific Northwest, blending Native American and Japanese cultures.

Warring Winds boasts accessible features for visually impaired players, including a sophisticated audio system. The game's story mode, "Novella Mode," allows players to explore its narrative without the competitive fighting elements. The game's characters include tribal leaders, spirit guides, and other unique figures, each with their own backgrounds and motivations.

The successful funding will enable Inner Eye Games to achieve its core development goals, while additional stretch goals, such as creating novel epic game modes and bringing the game to consoles, are still to be unlocked. The Kickstarter campaign offers backers early access to the game with exclusive rewards and discounts.

Warring Winds is set in the backdrop of a celebratory tournament and offers a range of experiences for all types of players. The game's themes explore rivalry, camaraderie, and personal growth, with characters such as Chieftess Aurora, the spirit guide Kermi-tsu, and the divine priestess Lunaria.

The successful Kickstarter campaign for Warring Winds highlights the enthusiasm of close supporters and the potential for the game to become a distinctive entry in the platform fighter genre. The campaign is still live and seeking to unlock further stretch goals.
