Venture's Gauntlet is a VR action platformer developed by Bearhammer Games, set to release on Meta Quest App Lab, PICO, and leaving early access on Steam on May 23rd, 2024. The game follows the story of aging billionaire Adam Venture, who is seeking a worthy heir to his fortune by challenging them to overcome a series of deadly obstacle courses known as Venture's Gauntlet.

The game features TrueMotionVR arm swing controls, allowing players to comfortably run, climb, swing, and zip-line through the gauntlet. Players will face dangerous challenges, including killer drones, deadly lasers, and fatal drops, as they traverse nine intense stages inspired by the Highlands of Scotland. The game boasts breathtaking visuals powered by Unreal Engine, with a dynamic time of day and weather system that makes the world feel alive.

As players progress through the gauntlet, they will uncover the secrets of the Ventures and attempt to impress Adam Venture. The game offers tailor-made courses, with calibration adjusting the obstacles to each player's height and arm length measurements. Players can also compete against others for the best times on each stage through online leaderboards.

Bearhammer Games is a remote studio with developers in London, Scotland, and Barcelona. They began working on the game two years ago, starting with a demo called "Adventure Fitness VR" that was released on Steam as part of Steam Next Fest 2022. After receiving positive feedback, the team continued to work on the game, releasing it into early access in 2023 under the new name Venture's Gauntlet VR. Since then, they have optimized the game for mobile headsets and added improved gameplay polish and story, and are now ready to release the full game.
