Pc Games Role Playing Game Indie Game Early AccessThe game developer Shadowlight Sanctuary and publisher 663 Games have announced a new narrative-driven detective role-playing game, Kill the Shadow, which will be available on PC via Steam in late 2024. The game is set in a divided city with a dark water city background, where players take on the role of Detective Ah’Guang to investigate a series of bizarre murders.
Players can enhance their abilities, such as strength, spirit, and charm, and choose their methods to investigate cases, including psychological warfare, bribery, or violence. The game features a deduction system where players collect, analyze, and connect related clues to create their own unique investigation path. The Shadow, a strange creature attached to the player, helps reconstruct the traces of the deceased.
Kill the Shadow offers a variety of diverse and freely explorable scenes, including a dilapidated steel forest factory, a muddy shipwreck dock, the Zhulong Walled City, and the bustling old city district. Players can encounter various characters in the city and discover their stories. The game combines 3D environments and 2D pixel art characters, creating a unique artistic style with a striking contrast between modern and retro aesthetics.
663 Games is a newly established publishing label committed to premium and indie game publishing on PC, consoles, and mobile platforms. The company offers funding support to help independent developers and small teams bring their creative visions to life. Fans can add the game to their Wishlist now and join the Kill the Shadow Discord channel for all the latest news.
