Crytivo, a publisher, and Crazy Goat Games, a game development studio, have joined forces to create Worshippers of Cthulhu, a Lovecraftian city builder strategy game. In Worshippers of Cthulhu, players lead a cult with the ultimate goal of awakening Cthulhu. The game is set across multiple islands, where players must establish and manage cities, manage resources, and make strategic decisions to ensure their cult's survival and dominance.

Players can perform dark rituals to gain supernatural powers, explore mysterious lands for hidden resources, and conquer territories. They must balance Cthulhu's Patience with their cult's Fanaticism to avoid catastrophic consequences. The game offers a richly detailed, atmospheric world inspired by Lovecraft's writings, with a story-driven narrative and various choices that shape the ruler's identity and impact the cult's fate.

To celebrate the partnership, a new demo for the game is now available for free on Steam. Worshippers of Cthulhu is a strategy, city builder, and colony sim game, developed by Crazy Goat Games and published by Crytivo. It will be available on Windows, Steam, and the Epic Games Store in 2024, with an estimated gameplay time of over 40 hours upon release.
