Ultraton Studios SAS, an indie game development studio based in Montevideo, Uruguay, is set to release its new game, Roomballs, on Steam. Roomballs is a goal-scoring team sport that combines the excitement of soccer with the frenzy of air hockey. Players control pop-culture-inspired robots and engage in high-speed matches, relying on quick reflexes, strategy, and creativity to emerge victorious.

Customization is a key feature in Roomballs, with players able to modify their mini robot players using a wide range of accessories. These customizations can be unlocked through victories and missions, and players can earn Roombolts and other valuable items as they progress. The game offers a matchmaking system that ensures fair competition by finding opponents tailored to each player's skill level.

Roomballs is more than just a game, as it fosters a vibrant community where players can connect, share achievements, and celebrate each other's successes. Players can compete for leaderboard positions or collect rare bots, with the fun never stopping.

The game supports up to 8 players online and offers local couch play for up to 4 players. Roomballs features small robots resembling a mix between air hockey pucks and miniaturized soccer players, with a variety of game modes, arenas, and challenges to unlock.

Roomballs is the brainchild of Daniel Perdomo, a 52-year-old independent developer from Uruguay with over 30 years of experience in post-production, animation, editing, 3D modeling, and directing. Perdomo has been developing Roomballs independently for nearly two years, drawing on his lifelong passion for technology and games. He previously gained international attention for his Table Pong Project, a physical recreation of the classic Atari game PONG.
