Game developer Dyglone has announced the release of its new 2D action game, "UFO-Man," which is set to come out on October 25, 2024. The game will be available on Steam for Windows and macOS, as well as on iOS/iPadOS. A demo of the game is currently available for download on Steam.

"UFO-Man" is a challenging Foddian action game that combines elements from Japanese "Iraira-bou (イライラ棒)" games and difficult titles like "Getting Over It with Bennett Foddy" and "Only Up!" The objective of the game is to lift a square "Luggage" with a UFO and carry it to the top. The UFO will drop the Luggage if it hits walls, obstacles, or the Luggage itself, causing players to lose hours of progress and start climbing again from where it fell.

The full version of the game will feature a massive course divided into various stages, each with unique challenges, including caves, sunsets, mysterious factories, cities, and outer space. The game also includes hidden elements and a "Practice Mode" tailored for speedrunners and achievement hunters. The "Crash Count" feature tracks how many times the UFO collides with obstacles or the Luggage, allowing players to challenge themselves to complete the course with as few crashes as possible.

The free demo, released on August 21, gives players a taste of the game's initial stage, with the same level design and controls as the full version. Upon release, "UFO-Man" will launch with a 15% discount for one week on Steam.

Dyglone is a Japanese indie game developer that previously released the 2D side-scrolling shooter "Flarth" in 2011. "UFO-Man" is the developer's first multi-platform downloadable game.
