Tunermaxx Media GmbH, a company with a history in the gaming industry dating back to 1991, has announced the release of their latest game, 90s EXTREME SKIING, for the PlayStation®VR2. The game is a standalone spin-off of Snow Scout and focuses on high-speed, over-the-top winter sports action with a 1990s twist. It will be available for $14.99 on the PlayStation®Store starting on January 23rd, 2025.

90s EXTREME SKIING features 20 courses across 8 ski resorts, with the goal of earning medals by beating target times and trick score goals to unlock new races. Players can collect M-E-D-A-L letters and Compact Discs on each course, and the game includes 20 original club music tracks from the 1990s. The PlayStation®VR2 version of the game runs at full panel resolution at 90fps without reprojection and makes use of haptics and head rumble. The game also includes a full Trophy Set, with a Platinum trophy.

The game is a nod to the extreme sports games that were popular in the 1990s, with gaming consoles like the PlayStation 1, Nintendo 64, and Sega Saturn. Tunermaxx sees potential in Virtual Reality technology and is excited to bring their love of storytelling to the platform.
