PeterRegg, a solo developer, has released a playable demo for his pixelated auto-battler game, Cauldron, on Steam. The demo is now available for players to try ahead of the Steam Next Fest celebration, which takes place from June 10th to June 17th. Cauldron is a charming game that combines pixelated exploration with minigames, turn-based RPG battles, and upgradeable skills and heroes.

The game features five different minigames, including fishing, mining, apple-picking, a Breakout-like (ice)cubebuster, and a survivors-like game, each with its own exponential progression. Players can upgrade everything in the game, from heroes and abilities to minigames, through unique skill trees. The game also features an unlockable autobattler, allowing players to let the battling be done for them while they're away.

Cauldron is filled with whimsical characters, including funny party members, talking birds, and a snarky pink sidekick who never leaves the player's side. Players can join the game's Discord server to chat with the developer and other players who enjoy the game.

PeterRegg is an actuary with a background in math who has been developing Cauldron in his spare time. He balances his day job with game development, often coding late at night due to his two young sons. In addition to game development, Peter also writes fantasy novels.
