Gilang Gumelar Studios, an indie game developer from Indonesia, is set to release the anime-inspired boss battle game *Yasuke: My Legendary Samurai* on Steam in June 2025. The game features a unique storyline where the protagonist, an otaku named Yasuke, gets trapped inside the game he was playing. To escape and secure a refund, Yasuke must conquer five challenging bosses across five different stages.

*Yasuke: My Legendary Samurai* focuses exclusively on boss battles, taking inspiration from Soulslike games like *Sekiro*. The combat system is stamina-based, and the game's visuals are stylized in anime aesthetics, reminiscent of popular RPGs such as *Persona* and *Metaphor: ReFantazio*. The game is designed to be lightweight and run smoothly on low-spec laptops.

The game's key features include skippable dialogue, allowing players to choose when they want to engage with the story, and a combat system that emphasizes patience and strategy. The game is aimed at providing a challenging yet enjoyable experience for players.

Gilang Gumelar Studios, founded by a lifelong game enthusiast, aims to create games that offer a fun and engaging experience while challenging players. *Yasuke: My Legendary Samurai* is the studio's debut title, and an alpha gameplay trailer is currently available on Steam. Players can look forward to the full release in June 2025.
