Indie Game Pc Games Early Access Virtual Reality GamingTormenture, a psychological horror puzzle game developed by Croxel Studios and published by Billete Cohete, has recently received a significant update. This update focuses on performance optimization, controls, accessibility, and bug fixes. Performance has been improved by up to 300%, providing a smoother experience on all systems. Players can now remap inputs for keyboard/mouse and gamepad, and a new zoom feature enhances visibility on smaller screens, especially on the officially verified Steam Deck.
The update also addresses bugs related to puzzles, 3D sequences, and other gameplay elements, resulting in a more polished and responsive experience. Localization support has been expanded with the addition of Simplified Chinese and Catalan, further increasing the game's accessibility.
Tormenture is a meta-horror narrative game set in the early 1980s, where players must uncover four cursed relics, solve cryptic puzzles, and confront entities that may have transcended the screen. The game features pixel art, psychological horror, and interactive storytelling, with three possible endings shaped by the player's choices.
The Game Kitchen, the studio behind Tormenture, is an award-winning Spanish developer known for games like The Last Door, Blasphemous, and its sequel Blasphemous 2. Billete Cohete, the game's publisher, is an incubator from The Game Kitchen that supports emerging developers in bringing their projects to life, having published Escape From Galaxen and Tormenture.
