TOKYO INDIE GAMES SUMMIT 2024: A Success with 4500 Visitors and 126 Hot Indies

The Tokyo Indie Games Summit, an event showcasing indie games from local and international developers, took place in Kichijoji, Tokyo, and attracted 4500 visitors, a 45% increase from the previous year. The event featured 126 indie games, including Touhou Genso Wanderer -FORESIGHT-, SKY THE SCRAPER, and Mika and the Witch’s Mountain. Panel discussions were led by industry figureheads, such as Touhou Project creator Jun'ya "ZUN" Ōta and game developer/comedian Noda Crystal. The summit also featured talks on the future of indie game music and AI localization. Phoenixx, the event’s founder, thanked sponsors, partners, exhibitors, and visitors for their support and looks forward to next year’s event. The summit was made possible by sponsors, including Cygames, Bandai Namco, Happinet, and BushiRoad Games, and media partners Gematsu, Bleeding Cool, ANMO SUGOI, and others. Phoenixx, the event’s organizer, is a company founded in 2019 by industry veterans with a mission to support innovative and creative developers from Japan and around the world.
