Tiny Goblins, the development team composed of Jakub Dabrowski and Ivan, is excited to announce the release date of the prologue for their first game, An Amazing Wizard. The prologue will be available on Steam starting August 22, 2024, and players can look forward to a free preview playtest on August 2, 2024, hosted by Alienware.

An Amazing Wizard is a 2D metroidvania-inspired spell-slinging combat RPG with detailed pixel art. Players will assume the role of a legendary wizard, mastering the magic of seven elements cast with mysterious hands. The game offers extensive customization options, including enchanting spells and melee weapons, leveling up, and selecting from 250 perks. Players can also discover and equip 250 artifacts and merge 100 unique spells in any order.

The free prologue introduces the Spell Merge feature, where players can merge spells up to five times in any order. For example, the Lesser Fireball spell, which sets enemies on fire, can be merged to create a Gravity Zone spell that catches enemies in place upon impact. Players will explore the new Ancient Desert world, featuring new enemies, a revamped UI for the Bestiary, and the addition of two new bosses and new elite enemies.

An Amazing Wizard is Tiny Goblins' first game, with Jakub Dabrowski's expertise in Java development and Ivan's talent in pixel art. The duo is receiving support from indie game publisher Erabit in managing business aspects.
