TIGA UK Games Education Awards 2025: Recognizing Excellence in Games Education

Pc Games Indie GameTIGA, the trade association representing the UK video games industry, has announced that the TIGA UK Games Education Awards 2025 are now open for entries. These awards celebrate excellence in learners and graduates, teaching and research, colleges and universities, and aim to recognize the teaching teams behind outstanding educational institutions. The awards are unique, as they focus on the UK video games industry's education sector.
The TIGA UK Games Education Awards 2025 feature various categories, including awards for outstanding TIGA graduates in different fields such as art, design, programming, production/enterprise, computer games technology, audio, and post-graduate studies. There are also awards for the outstanding BTEC learner of the year, innovative teaching, college/university-industry collaboration, games research, diversity and inclusion, and best student game. The closing date for entries is 2nd June 2025, and the winners will be announced in a virtual awards ceremony in the autumn.
Dr Richard Wilson OBE, TIGA CEO, emphasized the importance of the awards in recognizing the outstanding talent, innovation, and dedication that drive the future of the video games industry. He highlighted the vital role of education in equipping the next generation of game developers and looked forward to honoring those who are shaping the future of video games.
TIGA is the trade association for the UK video games industry, and since 2010, it has won 28 business awards and commendations. TIGA's vision is to make the UK the best place in the world to develop video games. TIGA engages with policymakers, enhances education and skills, promotes best practice, and conducts primary research into the games sector. The TIGA UK Games Education Awards 2025 are an opportunity to recognize the achievements of the UK's outstanding educational institutions, teaching teams, and students in the video games industry.
