Dionous Games, a publisher specializing in adventure games, has announced that Theropods, a point-and-click adventure game set in a prehistoric world, will be available to try during Steam Next Fest on June 9. The game, which has been in development since 2015, offers a blend of classic adventure game mechanics, cinematic storytelling, and richly animated pixel art.

Theropods is set in a world where humans and dinosaurs coexist, and players will solve environmental puzzles, evade dangerous creatures, and uncover a story of survival, mystery, and friendship through visual storytelling. The game's developers, Kostas Skiftas and Sarah Duffield-Harding, have created the game's pixel art frame by frame, resulting in a visually striking experience that combines nostalgia with modern production values.

The game's key features include a prehistoric puzzle adventure, cinematic pixel art, classic point-and-click mechanics with a modern feel, and a layered sci-fi story. Dionous Games is known for its handcrafted approach to game development, and Theropods is no exception. The game has been built around a custom-tailored team to meet its specific creative needs.

Theropods demo is available now on Steam, and the full game is expected to launch in 2025. Console and mobile versions are also planned for a later date. Dionous Games is dedicated to producing games with high production values, attention to detail, and a focus on storytelling, and Theropods is a prime example of the publisher's commitment to quality.
