A new video game based on the classic comic character The Phantom is being developed by Melbourne-based Art of Play and will be published by King Features, a division of Hearst. The Phantom is an action brawler game that allows players to control The Phantom or his partner Diana Palmer in a global mission to stop the Singh Brotherhood from taking over. The game is inspired by the comic's hand-drawn art style and will feature an original storyline with full-screen cutscenes.

Pre-orders for the game are now available and come in two different packs: the 'Digital Phan Pack' and the 'Mega Phan Pack'. The game is expected to be released soon on PC and consoles. The Phantom, also known as "The Ghost Who Walks" or "The Man Who Cannot Die", is a masked hero who has been defending the fictional country of Bangalla from piracy, injustice, and greed for nearly a century. The character was created by Lee Falk in 1936 and has since been adapted into various forms of media, including animated TV series and a feature film.

Art of Play is an award-winning game development studio that has been producing games for top entertainment brands for over a decade. King Features is a leading producer and distributor of intellectual properties and a leader in classic character licensing and franchise development. In the game, players will be able to battle through 15 levels in this canon addition to The Phantom’s universe, choose between The Phantom or his partner, Diana Palmer, with appearances from Hero and Devil, and experience a brand new, original storyline told through cutscene sequences. The game will also feature 2-player co-op and a unique single-player mode. The Phantom features a completely hand-drawn aesthetic, produced frame-by-frame by Art of Play’s top artists. The game will also include exclusive pre-orders campaign features digital and physical rewards from renowned Phantom artists.
