The game follows a young boy named Sepehr and his dog, Baboo, as they embark on a quest to save Sepehr's family from an ancient evil.

Sepehr wields a magic staff, while Baboo utilizes his claws and super-barking ability to fight off demonic invaders. The game features various environments, including black forests, roaring waters, cursed wildernesses, and frozen lands.

The Legend of Baboo offers an RPG-inspired skill tree for both Sepehr and Baboo, allowing players to enhance their offensive and defensive abilities. Defeating bosses will grant players access to special magical attacks, which consume mana but can take out large hordes of enemies.
