Cortopia Studios, a subsidiary of Beyond Frames Entertainment and creators of the popular VR game Gorn 2, have announced their latest project - a virtual reality experience set in the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (TMNT) universe. Titled Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Empire City, the game is being developed in collaboration with Paramount Consumer Products and will be the first standalone VR game set in the TMNT universe.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Empire City is being built from the ground up for virtual reality and will allow players to suit up as Leonardo, Raphael, Donatello, or Michelangelo in an action-driven adventure that combines hard-hitting combat with exploration of the bonds of brotherhood. Comic book writer Tom Waltz, known for his work on The Last Ronin and over 100 issues of the IDW TMNT comic series, is serving as a narrative consultant to ensure the game has the story, tone, and heart that TMNT comic fans have come to expect.

The game is set to release in 2026 and will be available on Meta Quest and Steam VR. Players can wishlist the game and follow it on Discord, X, Tiktok, Instagram, and Facebook.
