TAMAGOTCHI PLAZA Comes to Nintendo Switch 2 with Exclusive Shops

Nintendo Switch Indie GameBandai Namco Entertainment America Inc. has announced that Tamagotchi Plaza, the latest entry in the Tamagotchi Connection: Corner Shop series, will be available on the Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2 on June 27, 2025. The game allows players to become shopkeepers in Tamahiko Town and engage with over 100 Tamagotchi characters. The Nintendo Switch 2 Edition includes three exclusive shops that can be controlled using the console's mouse controls.
TAMAGOTCHI PLAZA features a dozen different shops, including returning classics and new ones such as Afternoon Tea Shop and Eyeware Shop. Each shop features unique gameplay, and some shops have couch co-op mini-games. The game also has a linkage function with Tamagotchi Uni devices, allowing players to access exclusive items and events.
The Nintendo Switch 2 Edition offers three additional shops, Sushi Shop, Shuriken Shop, and Sushi Shuriken Shop. Players can use the Joy-Con 2 to make sushi in the Sushi Shop, show off their shuriken-throwing skills in the Shuriken Shop, and quickly prepare sushi and deliver it to customers in the Sushi Shuriken Shop. Players who already own the original Switch version of Tamagotchi Plaza can access the exclusive content by purchasing the Tamagotchi Plaza Nintendo Switch 2 upgrade pack.
Tamagotchi Plaza brings back the series' unique and engaging experience of setting up quirky shops and serving cute characters. The game's objective is to help Prince Tamahiko turn Tamahiko Town into a lively place fit to welcome the Tamagotchi Fest. Players must open and grow shops, meet over 100 different Tamagotchi characters, and enhance their and Tamahiko Town's reputation.
