The game is set to release on PC and Nintendo Switch 2 in December 2026 and features hand-drawn 2D graphics, dynamic combat, and a captivating storyline. The game allows players to control three different characters, each with unique abilities, movesets, and playstyles, providing a high level of variety and replayability.

Tails of Fate's crowdfunding campaign on Kickstarter reached its goal within hours of launching and will run through March 7, 2025. The campaign offers various rewards for backers, including a copy of the game, digital and physical art books, soundtracks, exclusive demo builds, and even the ability to contribute to the game's design.

The game boasts tight 2D controls, a variety of weapons and spells, and over a hundred distinct items that can be collected and customized to change the player's playstyle. Tails of Fate features an interconnected world with over ten different biomes, zero load times, and hidden areas to discover. Players can challenge unique enemies and epic bosses, craft new potions and equipment, and enjoy a lush soundtrack with a main theme by Monster Hunter composer Yuko Komiyama.
