Grimorio of Games has announced the 3D remake of its popular game, Sword of the Necromancer, titled Sword of the Necromancer: Resurrection. The game is a reimagining of the original monster-summoning dungeon crawler and will be released for PC and consoles in summer 2024. The remake was previously planned as a stretch goal in the sequel's Kickstarter campaign, but it will now be released before Sword of the Necromancer: Revenant.

Sword of the Necromancer: Resurrection is based on Revenant's engine and features 3D graphics, exciting new ways to battle, and renewed mechanics and systems. Players can customize the summoned monsters' AI, and the game also features remastered high-quality illustrations and voice acting in English and Japanese. New scenes have been added to delve deeper into the tragic love story of Tama and Koko.

Beating Sword of the Necromancer: Resurrection will unlock rewards in Revenant once it's available. The game will be released on Nintendo Switch, PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series. Players can wishlist the game on Steam.

Sword of the Necromancer: Resurrection is a third-person 3D Action Dungeon Crawler where players can revive defeated enemies to make them fight alongside them. The game features a new companion AI system, improved combos, and leveling up to take on guardians. Players can also play in local co-op mode.

Grimorio of Games is a small team based in Barcelona that previously developed the hyper-active action platformer Super Hyperactive Ninja and Sword of the Necromancer, a top-down 2D Action RPG with roguelike elements. Sword of the Necromancer had a successful Kickstarter campaign that raised over €200K with more than 5500 backers.
